Overview

The COMbo 1276 is a compact high performance system that combines the MAT1250 COM Express Card, the MIO1276 COM Express Carrier Board and an MXM V3.0 graphics module. By combining this technology we can offer the system designer development flexibility and time-to-market advantages over customer designs.

The CPU selection ranges from a 2.26 GHz 25W to the 1.2 GHz 5.5W. With two USB 3.0, 4 serial channels, four USB 2.0, 2 x 1Gb Ethernet and 8 PAL/NTSC Composite inputs, the COMbo 1276 is feature rich in a compact footprint of only 200mm by 140mm (EBX size).


Extended Temperature Operation

Microbus has performed tests for cold start and high temperature operation and will supply this information upon request.

Designed for expansion

The Mini PCIe socket offers robust access to industry standard expansion such as 3G, WiFi and other networks or features. Coupled to the Mini PCIe slot is a SIM socket to support modem use.

USB 3.0 is available for high speed connection to external peripherals. Alternatively, USB 3.0 offers a high speed interface that can be used internally to the system as a connection to other interfaces.

High performance - low power consumption CPUs

By selecting the 45-nm CPUs, the MAT1250 allows access to Intel's low power consumption Core 2 Duo processors.

COM Express PICMG Standard

By offering the Type 3 Com Express size, 125 x 95mm, compact designs
can be achieved. The COM (Computer On Module) Express standard has
been generated by the PICMG group to benefit from the advances offered
by the PCI Express interface and to offer the OEM a selection of suppliers
that can be based on support and supply

Microbus are able to undertake custom design of carrier boards and offer a
design checking service for OEMs own design.

Temperature Range

Extended temperature option available.

 
By offering access to the low power Core 2 Duo processors, the MAT1250 is
ideal for sealed and compact systems.

Organised thermal management can be achieved by use of the purpose designed
heat spreader plate.

Ruggedness is achieved through the thicker PCB. Extended temperature support
is also available. These are features that support the MAT1250 being using in
harsh environments such as Military, Medical, Rigged Mobile and Telecoms.

By using established core technology for a wide range of interfaces, including
serial, Ethernets, video capture and other interfaces Microbus can offer
custom carrier board design for demanding applications.
